In today’s post I am going to share with you my interview with Josue Pena.

But before moving to our interview with Josue Pena, let I give you a brief introduction about him.
Who is Josue Pena?
He has been Professional Soccer Player and played Professional Soccer for almost 10 years.
And he is now a 6 figures Instagram Influencer, Consultant, Leader and Entrepreneur.
With Instagram he has built two 6 figure businesses and has launched Ecom stores to 5 figures in just a few months.
Further, he has built an audience of multi-millions of followers in multiple niches/industries and even different languages.
And as a result he has been invited to Russell Brunson’s (the founder of ClickFunnels) Influencer party.
And has been featured on several magazines, podcasts and spoken at events.
Further, he has also been promoted by Grant Cardone who is a New York Times bestselling author, international speaker, business innovator, social media personality and top sales trainer in the world.
Even he has met personally with Social Media Influencer Gary Vaynerchuk, who is an American entrepreneur, author, speaker and internet personality. First known as a wine critic who grew his family’s wine business from $3 million to $60 million .
So, now you know who Josue Pena is.
Point to Note: He is no longer a Professional Soccer Player. He is now more into Business and Entrepreneurship teaching people how to build their online business growing followers on Instagram.
Ok, let’s move to interview with Josue Pena.
Q. How did you start your journey in Online Business?
A. Basically my journey is different than most Entrepreneurs.
I started because I wanted to become a Professional Soccer Player.
And I started doing Social Media because my head was, I gotta put myself out there nobody’s ever gonna find me.
So that was my ideology and basically things started taking off really quickly.
And then when I had the chance to become a pro, I decided to actually go full-time into entrepreneurship business, social media and marketing.
Instead of pursuing my dream in terms of soccer, which was the best decision of my life because I made a choice with my head, not the heart.
People always say follow your heart.
I would say screw that, think with your head.
Your heart is deceiving.
I started taking courses, getting mentors, and learning a lot, and then basically everything took off extremely quickly.
So that was basically how I started my journey in entrepreneurship and social media.
Q. What was your biggest challenge that you faced in your business?
A. One of the biggest challenges that I faced was deciding in business whether to continue playing Soccer or pursue Business.
That’s what I would say that one of the biggest decisions I had to make.
It was extremely tough!
Since, I had been working to become a Professional Soccer Player for almost 10 years.
And then basically just give away your entire life’s work for something that you know it’s gonna work and for something that complete me.
Unrelated to what you’re doing and for something that’s new.
You just see the potential in and you give it out because you see the potential in bigger than your actually Dream was.
So this was one of the biggest challenges in my life.
Q. What drives you the most to do better in business?
A. I do want to retire my parents so they don’t have to worry about money ever again.
I come from part of country of American Republic and hated my job and when I was here, I was making between $300-400 a month. So like very little!
And I had to take a loan.
My first course I took, I had to take a $2,000 loan to make sure I could take it.
That’s my background, where I come from.
I had nothing. Nothing was given to me.
I had to work my butt off to make it to get where I am.
Coming from a poor country, that’s harder.
That’s kind my motivation, what drives me and being able to retire my family, my parents.
Being able to give back to them that is my driving factor right now.
Obviously, the freedom that you get and stuff like that.
Being able to eventually be building a family and stuff like that and provide for them as well is something that drives me a lot.
Yeah, that’s basically like my driving factor.
Q. What you mainly do to grow your Online Business?
A. Basically what I decided to do was Reverse Engineer Success.
So on Instagram we reverse engineered the algorithm and basically do model success when it comes to what other people are doing.
Russell Brunson, Mitchell Harper always talk about modelling success, right?
So what I did was the traditional normal business knowledge.
I decided to apply it on Instagram and it blew up extremely quickly.
So that was like my pivoting moment and my epiphany moment I would say in my business.
So that’s what happened.
And right now, basically what I’ll do is I’ll growth hack Instagram.
So basically I know the formula to growth hack Instagram extremely well.
So get a huge audience, get a lot of leads and sales.
Even for local businesses and make basically their businesses or an account or a brand or whatever go viral and blow up on social media.
So basically that’s what I do.
And right now, for example, that’s part of what I do, right?
I have E-com store. That’s obviously what I do.
I make a lot of sales there.
In terms of what I actually do, say with all my Online CEOs, which is the part of CEOs on Facebook, is basically just provide massive amounts of value to people without expecting anything in return.
And basically just people just come to you because they see that you’re genuine that you actually care.
And that you’re providing them a lot of value and that your stuff actually works. I have massive results.
I have several hundreds of testimonials and results from clients and other people.
So that works and helps a lot and you know I just provide massive amounts of value in just networking.
Just give, give, give, give, give, give, give a lot more than what you ask.
Not take, what you ask from other people.
So that’s what I would say has helped me tremendously to grow my online business.
Q. Would you be so kind to share your best strategy or tip that works to grow your Online Business?
A. When it comes to strategy, let’s just call it Instagram if you want to grow the online business.
So, to grow a business on Instagram, I would say the first things you’ve got to do is focus on the four pillars of Instagram.
That is literally the foundation of everything you do.
It’s what got me to over 4.5 million followers on Instagram.
And the four pillars are Content, Consistency, Market Research, and Networking.
This is literally the secret to everything, so I’m going to detail every single one now.
The first pillar is Content.
Content will always be King. It’s what keeps people on the platform.
It’s what drives sales.
It’s what’s going to build brand awareness.
It’s what’s going to drive the audience.
It’s going to build the audience, all that stuff.
Your content needs to be great. It’s king.
There’s no way around it. If your content sucks, then you have to work on the content.
It doesn’t have to be your own content.
You can re-share content and just give credit to the original creator.
Google doesn’t own anything. They just basically re-share and Google is the largest search engine in the world.
You can do the same thing on Instagram.
Basically at the end of the day, it’s just building a brand with it.
Content is king, whether it’s yours or you’re just re-sharing content. It doesn’t matter.
Just model success like I said before!
This content is king. That’s the part.
The second one is being Consistent.
Consistency, that’s the second pillar.
It’s one of the things that I would say is the one thing that will dramatically, almost overnight, make you have like you’ll see results.
No matter what and its simple math.
For example, let’s say you’re posting one time per day and you’re getting 1,000 impressions.
If you start posting four times a day, you’ll start getting 4,000 impressions, so it’s simple math.
The more impressions you get, the more you grow.
The more you post, the more you grow on Instagram.
Be consistent. Every single day, showing up, taking this seriously like a business is going to help you tremendously.
Be consistent. Both in great quality content because content is king and it’s the way to go with Instagram to build an online business.
That’s the second pillar, I would say.
Now, onto the third!
The third pillar of Instagram is Market Research.
Market research is probably one of the things that was part of my epiphany moment because it’s tied directly into modelling success.
In order to model success, you’ve got to understand what success is and what to model.

So, on Instagram, it’s researching your influencers and competitors.
And then basically taking the influencers and seeing what content is working?
What the best performing posts or BPPs are?
That means the content that’s above average in terms of engagement and reach.
And see how the audiences react?
What captions are they using?
What their bio looks like?
What their logo looks like?
What their handle and name of the brand looks like?
Are they doing Instagram stories?
How are they connecting with their audience one-on-one?
And you take all those things and you basically just model it.
You just copy it and you maybe just put a little bit of twist into it, a little bit of personality of your own, and done deal.
That’s it. It will work for them, it will work for you 100%.
You have basically that foundation.
The first three pillars and then basically the fourth pillar, which is Networking, is kind of like the gasoline on the fire.
So, the Networking part will not work without the first three pillars.
And basically networking will work … this is where you growth hack the algorithm.
And what happens is that you start networking with the same influencers that you research.
You network with them and you engage with them, and you provide value.
And they promote you, you promote them and stuff like that.
And basically, that will dramatically … You will grow, like, you will hack the algorithm and the algorithm will start working for you instead of against you with that.
And then, also, you will start engaging with other people and networking with other people and your business will explode.
Literally almost, like, today you can have 100 followers.
Tomorrow you can have a week from now you can have 10,000 followers.
It’s that powerful.
So, that’s the fire on the gasoline, you know, the first three pillars.
So, that’s the networking part.
The fourth pillar, once you apply the fourth all four, like you’re Instagram business will explode.
Q. What tools or software you’re using to grow your online business?
A. Actually, this is the beauty of Instagram.
I know like a lot of people love automation and all that stuff.
But the reality is that you don’t need any of that stuff to build an Instagram page.
So, Instagram is a free source of traffic and it’s free forever, basically.
So, you don’t need any software, you don’t need any tools, and you don’t need any complex things.
You can do it all completely through your phone for free.
It works extremely, extremely well.
There’s no software that I would recommend.
That’s the reality.
I’m building mine right now. Just when it comes to analytics and stuff like that but there’s no software right now that I’d recommend because it’s basic.
All the stuff that the software does, you can do it yourself for free on the app with your phone.
There’s no point in actually paying for something that you already have for free. That’s my opinion.
Q. What traffic methods you use to promote your Online Business and why?
A. Right now, the traffic methods I use to promote my business has been completely Instagram.
I’ve built two six-figure businesses, one e-commerce store to five figures.
Probably six figures in the next year.
All have been completely done through Instagram.
That’s basically all I have done.
So, yeah, the traffic methods have been Instagram, growth hacking Instagram, pushing traffic from there building a brand.
That’s it. That’s basically what I do on Instagram and it has been my entire basically traffic method.
Q. What are the books you recommend to read to the marketers?
Q. What advice will you give who is just starting out Online Business?
A. I would say make sure that you’re working smarter rather than harder.
Start valuing your time more.
And if you can pay somebody to teach you and you can save all the trials and errors. Do it!
Don’t try to figure out the things by yourself.
You’ll have to spend lot of time and money and at the other day it will not be worth it.
Pay somebody who has walked through the road before you and knows how it is and how everything things work.
And model the success and just have somebody like a Mentor.
A Basketball Player, Professional Athletes have coaches and the reason is because they know that coach will get them where they want to go faster.
So same thing here!
Why would you want to figure things out by yourself when you have somebody else teaching you everything the Ins and out.
You know, I spent 4 to 5 years trying to figure out the things and it was because I failed a lot and made no money.
And it was because of I wasn’t willing to invest in myself, get a mentor, buy courses and stuff like that.
I wasn’t willing to do that.
So, once I started doing that everything exploded and I learned a lot quicker and everything is just one like supper-2 great.
So that’s what I would say.
