1. Know Your Superpower or Specialized Knowledge

Actually this is the first step that you have to know before creating information product.

So here just think what’s your superpower or super knowledge you have.

Drill deep down thinking that what’s unique talent you have that you can share with the people.

So here overall purpose is that after knowing your superpower, unique knowledge or specialized knowledge then it’s very easy to create information product.

2. Find out the Biggest Problem of your Target Market

After knowing your specialized knowledge or superpower then the second thing you need to know is that find out what’s the biggest problem people have in your target market or subject.

I mean find out what’s the biggest pain people have in your market?

And then give a solution to their problems or pains by sharing your knowledge or expertise. That’s it.

Ok, let I explain it in a simple way…

For example you’re an expert or you know how to create a landing page to capture the lead.

And as you find the problem that people don’t know how to create a landing page to capture the lead.

Then in that case you can show people how to create a Landing page to capture the lead. Got it!

1. Ebook

Just to create information product you can create an Ebook.

For example if you’re an Expert on how to start an online business then you can write all the steps in word file to start an online business step by step.

Then you can convert this word file into a PDF file.

And for converting your Word file into PDF file you can go to website like Free PDF Convert.

And thereafter you can design your PDF file into an Ebook by hiring people from website like Upwork or Fiverr and then you can sell it as an Ebook in the market so you can make money.

2. Screen Capture

Let’s take above example where you know how to create landing page to capture the lead. 

So here just to create your information product, you can capture or record your computer screen with the help of screen capture software showing  people how to create a Landing page step by step.

And then you can convert this video training into an information product to sell in the market by giving it a name something like Learn How to Create Lading Page To Capture The Lead Step By Step (Beginner Guide). 

Yes, for recording your computer screen, you can use software like Screen-O-Matic for Free.

Or if you want to go for more Professional with more advanced features then you can use Camtesia Screen Capture Software.

Important To Note: Don’t make lengthy video tutorial unless it is very-2 important.

You can record your video tutorial into 2 to 3 minutes long so that it may easy to consume and easy to watch.

3. Video

Here just to create digital information product, you can record your video talking on your subject or expertise or specialized knowledge using a webcam or smart phone.

For example, if you know how to play guitar then using webcam you can show people how to play guitar step by step.

Or if you’re a Yoga Expert then you can record video using Webcam showing people how to do Yoga step by step.

Or if you’re a Sales Expert then in the same way you can record your video talking about the tips on how to get sales.

Yes, for recording your video you can use Logitech Webcam. I find Logitech Webcam is the best webcam to record video.

Point To Note: For recording more professional video you can also hire videographer who can record your video on behalf of you.

4. Webinar

To create information product, you can record your own training through Webinar on a specific topic or subject or your specialized knowledge by teaching your subscribers or prospects.

Or you can also record webinar training by inviting an Expert who will give training on a particular topic or subject to your subscribers or prospects.

For example, at your Webinar where you teach your subscribers on How to Create Email Sequence using ConvertKit?

So in that case you can record this webinar training.

Later on, you can sell the webinar training into an information product as it is in the same format.

Or you can get the whole webinar training transcribed and then package it into a format you could sell.

Here you can record your seminar presentation on a particular topic or subject.

For example, if you’re holding a 3 day’s seminar or workshop on a topic like how to make more sales in any business!

Or you have invited some other experts on your seminar or workshop to speak on your topic.

Then in that case, you can get the whole seminar presentation or workshop recorded by hiring videographer.

And you can package this whole seminar or workshop presentation into a digital information product and sell it in the market by giving a unique name with your desired price.

Take another example, if you’re not an Expert or not holding your own Seminar or Workshop then you can attend any Seminar or Workshop of an Expert in your topic or subject.

And at the Seminar or workshop, with the permission of Seminar’s Organizer, you can film or get the Expert’s Presentation recorded at the seminar or workshop on your topic.

And then you can use or sell this whole seminar or workshop‘s presentation shown by other Experts in your topic or subject as if your own information product.

To create your information product you can also record your audio using Computer or your Smart Phone talking on your specific topic or knowledge.

For example if you’re an Weight Loss Expert then you can share Weight Loss Tips by recording your audio using your own computer or using your Smart Phone.

And then you can sell your Audio on Weight Loss Tips by packaging it into a CD or DVD in the market.

Or you can also sell your Audio through your Membership Website where people can download your Audio by paying monthly membership fee.

Point To Note: You can also convert your E-book into Audio version and then you can sell it as a Digital Information Product.

7. Teleseminar

This is another source of creating information product by way of audio recordings.

Ok, if you don’t know about Tele-seminar then let I tell you in short……

What is Teleseminar?

Actually, a Teleseminar is very much similar to telephone conference call where at least two or more people can join together and talk on a specific topic or subject at the same time.

For example, if you’re an Expert on How to create Niche Website then as a host through your Teleseminar you can invite your Subscribers to a telephone conference call at a specific time to talk about the topic on how to create niche website.

Or if you’re an Affiliate Marketer then you can also invite a guest speaker who is an Expert on affiliate marketing.

And then as a host, you can invite your subscribers through Teleseminar on a specific time to talk about affiliate marketing, affiliate marketing strategies or about your product on how to do affiliate marketing step by step.

So, in that case most of the time the lines of host and guest speaker are opened and the lines of the listeners or subscribers are muted just to avoid any disturbance.

And at the last of Teleseminar or telephone conference call, all the lines are opened so that guest speaker or host can answer to the question of call attendees on a specific topic.

And yes, invitations to participate in the Teleseminar are given through unique PIN Code.

And then participants have to submit this unique PIN Code to take part in the Teleconference.

Here what you can do is… you can create questionnaire for your target market asking about their biggest problems on a particular topic or subject.

So when you get 15 to 20 questions then go research the questions and write the answers.

I mean go to YouTube and find out How to videos related to your interest or business or the subject in which you want to create an information product.

For example if you want to know how to create Facebook Ads for beginners?

Then just to know this go to YouTube and watch 10 to 12 How to videos on how to create Facebook Ads for beginners!

And watching YouTube videos, write down all the points you like in the video on how to create Facebook Ads for beginner in a notebook or word file.

And then create an Ebook in PDF format giving a Catchy name something like Beginners Guide that Reveals How to Create Facebook Ads!

Or if you don’t want to create an Ebook then you can create your own video training on how to create Facebook Ads for beginner step-by-step!

Important To Note: Just to avoid any legal formalities, don’t forget to mention the name of YouTube Video creator giving proper credit and reference of the YouTube video link inside the Ebook or Video Training.

10. Private Label Rights (PLR) Digital Product

PLR Product is another way to create your own information product.

Ok, if you don’t know about PLR digital product then let I tell you in short…..

What Is Private Label Rights Digital Product (PLR)?

Actually, a Private Label Rights digital product is something that you buy with the rights of reselling the product.

I mean after buying Private Label Rights digital product, you can resell that product in the market as if your own product.

For example if you buy an Ebook with Resell Rights then you can re-design it and package it with your own name and picture on it.

And finally you can resell that Ebook in the Market as if your own product with your own Price.

Point to note that PLR product can be in the form of Ebook, Video Training, Software, Audio, CD, and DVD etc.

Yes, one more thing, read carefully the PLR license of product that you’re going to purchase.

I mean in some cases you get the license only to the extent of reselling the product with your own cover, name and picture but you can’t change the content in the product.

On the other hand, there are other products that come up with Full Resell Rights where you can change and tweak the content of the product and resell it as if your own product. Ok!

11. Borrow the Expertise

Here you might be wondering……

What is Borrow the expertise?

Is it the case?

Ok, don’t worry!

Let I tell you what I mean by that.

Borrow the expertise means you can borrow somebody’s knowledge.

I mean you can take an interview of an Expert who is Expert in your niche, business, topic or subject by calling on your webinar or teleseminar.

Here what you can do… you can send a request to the Expert for taking part in a short interview asking simple questions on a specific topic or niche.

Below you can see the request format that I usually send to Experts to take part in short Interview for my Blog.

Further, if you record interview of any Expert through video or audio then you can get it transcribed.

And for the transcription, you can use the service of website like REV where you can get your Video or Audio transcribed just by paying $1 for every 1 minute Video or Audio.

Below you can see an example of this where I got transcribed my interview with Josue Pena who is 6 figure social media influence and has been featured on Huffington Post, multiple podcasts, shows etc. and he also worked with Gary Vee, Russell Brunson, spoke at events, invited to influencer parties and then partnered with Grant Cardone.

Furthermore, you can also hire someone by going to the website like Elance.com and Guru.com where you can get transcribed your recorded Interview.

So, finally after transcription of your recorded Interview of any Expert, you can convert into an Ebook and sell it.

Point to note that you can also sell your recorded Interview of any Expert as it is.

I mean it doesn’t matter whether recorded interview is in Audio or Video format you can still sell it as a digital information product with its original version.

So, it’s totally upto you.

But before selling it in the market, I would highly recommend you to take care of that everything is organized and step by step in the original recorded interview.

Yes, if you find anything in the recorded Interview that you need to edit then go and edit this portion.

And then bring it to the market to sell. Got it!

So, go and record the interviews of Expert whether in video or audio or text format and then convert it into an Ebook.

So when you buy your domain name for your online business then your domain name must represent you, your product, and your business.

Really your domain name must be unique, short, branded and easy to remember.

If possible buy domain name that has extension of .Com and .Org

And for buying your domain name you can go to Domain registrar like Namecheap.

2. Funnel Builder

Second tool you need a funnel builder.

Funnel builder is kind of software where you can create your sales funnel or sales page.

And for that you can use Clickfunnels to create your sales funnel or sales page.

Even with Clickfunnels you can create your own Membership site to sell your information products.

3. Autoresponder

Third tool you need an Autoresponder.

An Autorespoder is a kind of software through which you can build email list by collect email address of your prospects or visitors on your sales page or website or blog.

And further with the help of Autoresponder you can send automated emails or send broadcast to your subscribers or customers selling your information product.

And for that you can use Autoresponders like Aweber, GetResponse and Converkit.

4. Shopping Cart

To collect payment whether national or internationals you need Shopping Cart.

And for shopping cart you can use service like Stripe, SamCart, or Paypal.

Paypal is a free platform through which you can collect International Payment and sell your information product.

But here I would like to say that before using any platform as one of your shopping cart to collect payment read their terms and conditions very carefully.

Ok, here you might be wondering again……

What platform to use for selling information product?

Actually there are 2 platforms to sell information products!

1. Selling through your own Platform

In that case, you can sell your information products by creating your own website having your own payment gateway or shopping cart to collect the money.

And yes if you go through your own platform then you have to take care of all sales, support, delivery of your content, refund of money (if any) etc., by yourself.

2. Selling through Third Party Platform

Here you use third party platform to sell and promote your digital information product.

I mean you don’t have to create any website, only you need to register with third party platform by paying a monthly fee and then you can upload your content on to the third party platform.

So here when you use third party platform to sell information product then they take care all of your sales, delivery of your content, sales page etc.

Even they (third party platform) host all of your contents. You don’t have to pay extra for hosting your content.

So to use third party platform for selling and delivering your information products you can go with platform like Kajabi, Teachable, and Thinkific.

All are great third party platforms to sell your digital information product online.

Further, if you’re re ready with your sales page with a great sales copy and other promoting materials then you can register with ClickBank to sell your digital products as a vendor.

Actually Clickbank is a place where thousands of affiliates are registered.

And if they find your product solid and valuable to promote in their niche or business then they will promote your product as a Clickbank Affiliate for a fixed commission.

Furthermore if you have created your digital information product in make money online niche then you can go to website like Warrior Plus or JVZoo and get yourself registered to sell your digital information product.

Important To Note: If you choose third party to sell your product then they host your product and all of your sales payment including refunds are handled by them for a small fee or small percentage.
