In this article I will show you how to mask affiliate links using namecheap with your domain name. Really when you’re in affiliate marketing then you must know how to mask your ugly looking affiliate links with your domain name. It helps you to look more professional.
So here don’t worry, I will try to explain it in a very simple way so that you can mask your affiliate links using NameCheap with your domain name.
Before doing this I just wanna say why we mask our affiliate links? What is the reason that we need to mask our affiliate links?
As far as my knowledge, the number one reason to mask our affiliate links is to make affiliate links easier to remember as most of affiliate links are long, ugly and difficult to remember. As you can see below an example of this.
You can see above, it looks very ugly, long and difficult to remember. Right!
On the contrary of this, if I mask this ugly looking affiliate link with my domain name such as www.wehireyounow.com then it would be very easy to remember and will look professionally nice. See below an example of this.
It is only showing my domain name with 4 percent Group webpage, the training which I am currently promoting. Right!
So that’s why we mask our affiliate links. Right!

How To Mask Affiliate Links Using Namecheap
If you don’t have an account then you will need to register with NameCheap. If you have already an account with NameCheap then simply sign in to your account. See the snapshots below.
After logging into your account click on Domain List on the left side of the page and then select the domain which you want to use for masking your affiliate link and then click on Manage. Please see the snapshot below.
Now on the next page, click on the right hand side of triangle mini button and from here scroll down to the tab where it says Advanced DNS. Click on Advanced DNS tab on the left side of the page. See the snapshots below.
Ok, after clicking on Advanced DNS tab, you will be taken to next page and from here check the small box where it says Type CNAME Record, Host www, Target parkingpage.namecheap.com, TTL 30 min and delete it after click on right side Delete button. See the snapshots below.
And thereafter scroll down on the same page and check the small box on left side where it says Type URL Redirect Record, Host @, Destination URL http://www.wehireyounow.com/, Unmasked and click the button where it says Edit on the right side of the page. See the snapshot below.
Note: – In the Destination URL section, there will be your domain name such as http://www.yourdomainname.com/ . Right!
Ok so far so good. Now after clicking on the Edit button, you will be taken to next page and from here in the section of Destination URL, put or paste your affiliate link and from the section of Record Type, click on small triangle button on the right side and from the drop down menu select Masked and click on Red button where it says Save Changes. See the snapshots below.
Note:- In the Record Type section keep the URL Redirect Record as it is. Further in the Host section the sign @ as it is. Don’t change it.
Note:- From the first snapshot above, you can see that in the section of Record Type, Unmasked is already selected, its mean that if you don’t want to Masked your affiliate link, then you can keep this the same as Unmasked.
So in that case when somebody click on your domain name or type your domain name in browser, then webpage will be opened showing your ugly affiliate link in browser bar.
Now, after saving the changes you made on the same page, just right below there is tab which says ADD NEW RECORD, click on that and from here you will be taken to next page and from the section of Record Type, click on small triangle button and from drop down button, scroll down to the bottom and select the Tab where it says URL Redirect Record.
Next in the Host section write www and in the Destination URL section, again paste your affiliate link and in Record Type section, click on small triangle button on the right side and scroll down to the bottom and select Masked tab and thereafter click on the button where it says Save Changes. See the snapshots below.
For everything to work properly, it will take a few hours. Check the link in 24 hours just to be safe.
You now have a domain name which you can send to people which is easy to remember.
